Change your channel details
If you use the name and photo from your Google Account for your YouTube channel, you can update this
information at any time . Please bear in mind that this will change your name and photo across Google
services.
If you have turned on channel translations, your channel name may not be updated after you change it. When
you change the name on your account, it will only be updated in your original language on YouTube. If you want
your new name to be shown in all languages, please make sure that you update your translations too. You can
turn off this feature if you want your name to be the same in every language.
Note: You can also use a different name on YouTube from your Google Account name.
Note: You can no longer edit your channel icon or channel art on mobile devices. Use a desktop
computer to follow the instructions below.

Change your channel name
1. In the mobile app, tap your account icon .
2. Tap My Channel.
3. In the top right-hand corner of your channel page, tap Settings .
4. On the right-hand side, tap Edit .
5. Enter your updated name and tap OK.
After changing your channel name, it may take a few days for the new name to update and display
across YouTube. Learn more about changing your Google Account name and using a different name
on YouTube from your Google Account.
Change your channel description
1. In the mobile app, tap your account icon .
2. Tap My Channel.
3. In the top right-hand corner of your channel page, tap Settings .
4. On the right-hand side, tap Edit .
5. Enter your updated description and tap OK.

version of this feature, which is slowly launching to all users. Please use the instructions below.
