Androvid Video Trimmer - User Manual

Androvid Video Editor is a video editor and organizer software designed for Android platforms.

1. Main Screen



Your newest 3 videos are shown on top of the page. If you click on a video icon, player screen starts. In order to edit a video, long click on the video, then it will become selected. Then click on a menu button from the main menu below

  Videos : Using this button you can perform all kinds of video editing operations like trimming, splitting, audio (MP3) extraction, frame grabbing, rotating, applying effects, converting to other formats, resizing, sharing, deleting, renaming.

 Photos : Using this button you can see all images on your phone and perform delete, share and Set as wallpaper operations. After you perform Frame Grabbing using AndroVid, you can always use this button to see your frames.

 Trim : Using this button you can start Video Trimmer to trim the video by deleting parts from start and end of the video or delete a part in the middle of the video.

 Frame Grab : Using this button you can start Frame Grabber to capture frames from the video

 Merge: Using this button you can start Video Merge to join your videos to produce a single joined video. All videos to be joined must be in the same format and size.

 Add Music : Using this button you can add background music to your video files. You can also adjust the volume of both video's original audio and the music.

 Add Text : Using this button you can add text to your video files.

 Effects : Using this button you can start Video Effects to apply various effects to your video.

 Convert: Using this button you can start Video Converter to convert your videos to other formats, resize, adjust its quality and share it.

 Slideshow: Using this button you can start Slideshow Maker to make slideshow from your pictures.

 Shoot New : Using this button you can shoot a new video and edit that video in AndroVid. After you finish recording your new video, it will be played in AndroVid.
2. Video List Screen

2.1 General Menu Options:



 Folder View: You can see your videos in folder view style.

 List View: You can see your videos in a List View style.

 Grid View: You can see your videos in a Grid View style.

 Search : You can search among your video files, only mathing files will be shown on the screen.

 Sort By: You can sort your videos by their Name, Date, Size and Duration.

 Refresh : Refresh your video list. If you have uploaded a new video to your phone or recorded a new video using another application you can use "Refresh" button/menu option to refresh the list.

2.2 Video Editing Options:

Long click on a video on the list to get menu options to edit your video.



 Trim : Trim the video by deleting parts from start and end of the video or delete a part in the middle of the video.

 Frame Grab : Capture frames from the video.

 Add Music : Add music to your video.

 Add Text : Add text to your video.

 Convert :Convert the video to another format, resize it, adjust its quality and share it..

 Convert to Audio/MP3 : Extract the audio ( voices or music) from the video..

 Rotate : Rotate the video by 90, 180 degrees or flip it horizontally or vertically.

 Effects: Apply various effects to your video.

 Split : Split the video into two pieces.

 Share : Share your video on social networks like Facebok, Youtube etc..

 Rename : Change the name of your video file.

 Delete : Remove the video from your phone. Be careful, this operation cannot be reverted.

 Video Details : See gthe details of your video, like path, format, resolution, audio codec, video codec, size and duration.

3. Photos Screen

On this screen you can see all images on your phone and perform delete, share and Set as wallpaper operations. After you perform Frame Grabbing using AndroVid, you can always use this button to see your frames.



 Slideshow : Make slideshow from the selected pictures

 Share : Share selected videos

 Delete : Delete selected videos

4. Video Player Screen

On this screen you can play our videos and perform all video editing options. After 5 seconds if you don't touch your screen, editing options will be hidden, and when you touch the screen, editing options will appear again.



5. Video Trimmer Screen

On this screen you can select a start point and an end point in your video and remove parts from the start and end of your video, or you can delete part in the midde of the video.



2.1 Trimmer Menu Options:

 Trim : Trim the video by deleting parts from start and end of the video or delete a part in the middle of the video. When you click this menu button you be prompted to make your selection whether Trim (Delete partsfrom start and end from the video) or Delete Middle Part to delete the selection you have made in the middle of the video.

 Convert to Audio/MP3 : Extract the audio ( voices or music) from the video between you selection points.

2.1 Trim Selection Buttons:

Left Thumb : Select the start point.

Right Thumb : Select the end point.

Zoom In : Zoom in the timeline so that you can select start/end points more precisely.

Zoom Out : Zoom out the timeline.

Adjust Thumbs : Puts start/endpoint selector thumbs to left and right edges of the screen.

Scroll Left : After you zoom in the timeline, you can scroll left on the timeline.

Scroll Right : After you zoom in the timeline, you can scroll right on the timeline.

6. Video Splitter Screen

On this screen you can select a point where you want to divide the video into two pieces. This screen is very similar to Trimmer screen, for detailed help on using this screen you can look at Video Trimmer Screen help page.



7. Frame Grabber Screen

On this screen you can capture frames from the video easily. You just need to pause the video by touching on the video and then clickon the Grab button.



2.1 General Menu Options:

 Frame Grab : When you press Frame Grab button, frame atthe current positon of the video is extracted.

Next Frame : After you pause the video, you can use this button to move to the next frame in the video..

Previous Frame :After you pause the video, you can use this button to move to the previous frame in the video..

 Remove All : Use this button/menu option to delete all captured frames.

 Save All : Use this button/menu option to save all captured frames to your phone. In AndroVid options menu, there is also a setting to save all grabbed frames automatically.

2.1 Frame Menu Options:

When you long click on a captured frame you will get the following menu options:



 Remove : Delete the captured frame.

 Save : Save captured frame image to gallery. When "Auto Save Grabbed Images" option is enabled, this button will not appear.

 Set as Wallpaper : Set the image as wallpaper on yuor phone.

 Share : Share your image by email or on your social networks.

View : Click on image to view the image as full screen.


8. Video Effects Screen

On this screen you can apply various effects to your video.



9.1 Effect Menu Options:

Effect Selection : Select effect to be applied. When you select the effect, it will be applied on the sample picture and effect settings will appear at the bottom of the screen if the effect contains some settings..

 Preview : The effect will be applied on the first 3-seconds of the video and then it will be played.

 Apply : Effect will be applied on the whole video. After this operaion is completed, you will be prompted to save the file, play or share it..

9.1 Effects

Fade Effect : When you apply fade effect your video will start as bleck and gradually it will get brighter and it will go to bleck at the end of the video. Fade effect is applied as" fade in" at the beginning of the video and as "fade out" at the end of video. There are two settings: 1. Duration of "fade in" at the beginning 2. Duration of "fade out" at the end of video. If you do not want to apply any one of them, just set its duration to 0.

Gray Tone Effect: When you apply this effect, your cvolor video will lose its colors andit will contain only gray colors from white to black range.

Mirror Effect : When you apply this effect, half of the video screen will be the reflection other half as on the mirror.

Negative Effect : When you apply this effect, colors of the video are inverted. Hencethe lightest areas of the video will appear darkest and the darkest areas will appear lightest.

Remove Audio Effect : The audio (voices and music) will be removed from the video, hence the video becomes completely silent.

Slow / Fast Motion Effect : When you apply this effect, your vide is played faster or slower. This effect has a spped setting you need to adjust this value to obtain the required video speed. Orginal video speed is multipled with your selection. For example if you want the video to be played at the half speed, you sshould set the Speed value as 0.5 or if you want its spped to be doubled then you should set Speed value as 2.0

Swap U-V Effect : When you apply this effect, U and V color components are swapped.



9. Video Converter Screen

On this screen you can convert your videos to other formats, resize, adjust its quality and share it. Make your conversion selection as describes below and then cick on the Convert button.



10.1 Conversion Options:

Video Size : Size (width x height) of the output video

Video Format : Format of the output video

Quality : Quality of the output video. When you select low quality value, output video quality degrades but conversion algorithm runs faster, output video size gets smaller, hence it is a good choice for fast sharing purposes. When you select a high quality value output video quality improves but the conversion algorithms runs longer and video size gets bigger. We recommend you to select medium .



10. Video Merge Screen

On this screen you can join your videos to produce a single joined video clip.





11. Add Text Screen

On this screen you can add text to your video.





12. Slideshow Maker Screen

On this screen you can join your pictures to produce a slideshow
