Here is the process to hard reset iphone with home and power button. 
You can easily restore your iphone to factory settings without password.

Step 1: Press and hold home button and sleep/wake button simultaneously.

Step 2: Hold both button until phone shut down and restart.

Step 3: As soon as you see Apple logo on the screen, leave the buttons.

By this way you can hard reset your iphone.
